"Reflections" regarding THE PATH TO SOLIDARITY
                                                                               (continued)

Prayer  ~~  "Come Spirit of Love!

Come that as a result of our CONVERSION
AND

COMMUNION,

a complete unity of all the peoples
on this great
CONTINENT OF AMERICA
may take place!

That beginning with
The
CHURCH IN AMERICA

SOLIDARITY,

never before seen
on the face of this earth
,
may result!

The Church's teaching, a statement of the demands of conversion

Our Holy Father reminds us that
"...the
CHURCH
IN
AMERICA

is called to

proclaim with renewed vigor

that
CONVERSION  which consists in

commitment to the person of
Jesus
Christ,

with all the theological
and
moral implications
taught by the
teaching authority of the Church, meaning the
the
Magisterium of the Church."

Unfortunately, in today's society, many of us have applied the  theories of relativism and subjectivism,
especially as it pertains to the subject of
MORALITY.

We practice relativism when we believe that the TRUTH is allowed to be changed according to who is involved, the place where something occurs, or when something occurs.  We change the truth from what it really "is" to make it into what we believe it "should be!"
We practice subjectivism when we judge what is right and what is wrong in our own minds.

What this basically means is that many of us have the tendency to rationalize
in our own minds what
we feel is correct
and
disregard
the
TRUTH!

This "belief system" is deceptive!

Many of us use this deceptive "belief system" because in reality,
we
do not want to LISTEN to
or  BELIEVE the TRUTH.

Our Holy Father and our Bishops agree that they see a very
disturbing spread of these two ways of deceptive thinking and as a result has lead to a widespread disregard to the teachings of the Magisterium of the CHURCH which teaches only the TRUTH.

That is why theologians, catechists and religion teachers play a very important part in the correct formation of consciences.

Unfortunately, some people have never seen nor heard the TRUTH
while others who have been blessed to do so, have willfully disregarded, and of their own accord~~
refuse to SEE or HEAR the TRUTH.

We MUST learn and then teach the TRUTH because Jesus Christ is the TRUTH!

When we know and teach the TRUTH,
we  are able to become beacons of FAITH, HOPE  and CHARITY to others!

In the Gospel of Matthew, Our Lord spoke in a parable
(a narrative or story in which an important truth is revealed), the story of a person who went forth to sow seed and what happened to the seed, depending upon the type of soil that it fell upon.  His disciples asked Him why He spoke to the people in parables or stories.

His answer to them is meant for
all of us!

"Therefore do I speak to them in parables:  because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."
(Matthew 13:13)  He continued, "For the heart of this people is grown gross {insensitive}, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut:  lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear."
(Matthew 13:15-16)
